Care
Postpartum visits
Visits after the birth, shaped around your baby, your feeding and your naps.
You do not need a sitter. Bring your baby, a bag and whatever you need. Feed, change or hold your baby whenever you like, and we pause the visit when your baby needs you.
What we set up
A recliner that is comfortable for feeding
Space for a stroller or a car seat
Visits timed around naps, when you can

A visit
What a visit is like, in order
- 01
Step 1: We talk
About your birth only as much as you like, how you are sleeping and what is sore.
- 02
Step 2: You settle in
A recliner or a table, with your baby beside you if you wish.
- 03
Step 3: The visit
A few fine needles or ear seeds, chosen with you. We pause whenever your baby needs you.
- 04
Step 4: A plan
We say what we did and what we suggest. You decide, and the next visit can wait for a nap.
Good to know
Before and after
What you may feel afterward
Many people feel relaxed or sleepy. Mild soreness or light bruising at a point can happen. Drink water and rest when you can.
Tell us first
How long it has been since the birth, how you are feeding your baby, blood thinners or a bleeding disorder, a pacemaker, lymph node removal, or a fear of needles. We adjust, or suggest other care.
How many visits
We suggest a plan on the first visit. It is a suggestion, not a promise, and results vary. You can change it or stop at any time.
What it does not do, and when to see a doctor
It does not replace your postpartum checkup, your doctor, your midwife or your medicine. If you feel very low, anxious or unlike yourself, tell your doctor or midwife today. If you are in crisis, call or text 988, and in an emergency call 911.
