What people tell us
What people come in for
This is what people mention at a first visit, not a list of what we promise.
Back, hip and pelvic aches
A body carrying weight in a new way, and a back that tires by evening.
Sleep
Hard to get comfortable, hard to stay asleep, and short nights with a newborn.
Queasiness and tiredness
The early weeks, when everything feels like a lot.
Sore shoulders and wrists
From carrying, feeding and lifting, day after day.
Feeling stressed or overwhelmed
A lot of change at once. A quiet hour can be a welcome pause, and we will point you to your doctor or midwife if you need more.
Recovery in the weeks after birth
Rest, soreness and getting back to ordinary days, at your own pace.
Limits
What acupuncture does not do
Plain answers, so you know what to expect.
Acupuncture does not replace your prenatal or postpartum care. It does not replace your medicine, and it cannot tell you whether your pregnancy or your recovery is going as it should.
We do not give advice about birth plans or medical decisions. Those belong to you and your doctor or midwife.
See your doctor or midwife first for bleeding, severe or sudden pain, a fever, or a baby who moves less than usual. If you feel very low or anxious after a birth, tell them today. If you are in crisis, call or text 988. In an emergency, call 911.
Not sure it is for you?
Call or write, and we will tell you plainly whether a visit makes sense.
